Sometimes you have to get pampered!
Shawn got me a prenatal massage for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The Baptist Wellness Center has a great spa (Oasis Spa) and gives prenatal massages. Unfortunately they didn't have one of those massage tables with a hole in it, but they do have an experienced masseuse that knows how to make a big pregnant lady comfortable. Today reminded me that every once in a while (I wish it could be more) I need to pamper myself, relax and take a break. It is so easy to live every day, work and not do much else besides responsibilities. Getting a massage is a wonderful way to indulge. If you have never done it or haven't done it lately--get a massage!

Buyer Beware
A few weeks ago Shawn bought a shirt from Target. He loved it so much that he wore it every day for 6 days straight and no—he did not wash it! About the 6th day we realized there was a spot on the shirt that did not get dyed (the shirt was blue and this spot was white) so he took it back hoping for an exchange. At the Customer Service Counter the lady said that his shirt was the last medium and they would not be getting any more in but he could go to another Target and get the same shirt. He ventured to the other Target and bought the same shirt (it just so happens that the shirt was a little different—don’t you hate it when the same brand, size, and color is just a little different from the one you purchased previously.) Anyway, a week later we were at the original Target and he went to look to see if by chance there was another shirt there. ALAS! They had the shirt he loved! He brought it to me and then we discovered something amiss. It was the shirt he took back! How did we know? It had the white spot where it did not get dyed; it had some Charlie hairs on it, and a stain from when he wore it 6 days in a row. Buyer Beware—when buying clothes look closely! Otherwise you could be wearing an already worn shirt with cat hair on it that is defective.
Another Day in Paradise
Do you have children and pets? We have 1 daughter and 2 cats, 1 dog, and a foster dog (okay he really isn’t a foster dog, but we babysit him a lot—he is my parents dog; old, deaf, and sickly.) We came home the other night from dinner to a lovely pile of poop waiting for us on the family room rug. I hurriedly cleaned it up and 5 minutes later in the same spot my husband stepped in something gooey and wet—cat throw-up! Do you experience stuff like this all the time? It’s just another day in paradise!
